Netflix confirms new Inbetweeners movie with original cast returning
Netflix announced that the original Inbetweeners quartet will reunite for a third film, with production set to begin shortly.
Netflix confirmed that the four actors who starred in the original Inbetweeners series - Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas - will return for a third feature film. Filming is scheduled to commence on Monday, marking the start of production after months of speculation. The movie will follow the characters Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland and Simon Cooper, with creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris handling both writing and directing duties.
A released teaser depicts the friends squeezing into their iconic yellow Fiat, struggling to start the engine before driving away from a storage unit. While the main cast is set, the involvement of other actors such as Emily Atack or Emily Head has not been confirmed. The project continues the franchise that began with a TV series on E4 and two previous films backed by Film4.
