Netflix greenlights new 'Manifest' spinoff titled 'Arrivals' with original creators

Netflix revealed that it has ordered a new series titled “Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery,” set in the same universe as the cancelled-then-revived drama “Manifest.” The plot centers on a plane that crash-lands in Denver, leaving its passengers with no memory of their identities, while a social worker and a Homeland Security rookie work to prevent a catastrophe. Original creator Jeff Rake will serve as showrunner, joined by longtime collaborators Margaret Easley and Laura Putney, who will also co-run the show.

Warner Bros. TV is the production studio, and the executive producer lineup features Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Len Goldstein and Jacqueline Levine. Netflix highlighted the continuity of the creative team as key to preserving the franchise’s appeal while introducing fresh elements. The announcement underscores the streaming service’s commitment to expanding successful properties for a global audience.
