Netflix launches Canadian version of Love Is Blind, casting now open

Netflix announced a Canadian edition of its dating series Love Is Blind and has opened applications for participants.

Netflix confirmed that its hit reality dating series Love Is Blind will be adapted for a Canadian audience, with production handled by Insight Productions, the company behind Big Brother Canada and Canada Shore. Prospective participants need to be 19 or older and be Canadian citizens or permanent residents as of January 2027. The show will follow the familiar premise of couples forming engagements while separated by a wall before meeting face-to-face and proceeding to a wedding.

Social media reaction has been enthusiastic, with many users tagging friends and joking about the format. Insight co-chief content officer Erin Brock expressed excitement about exploring the concept with a Canadian cast. The announcement arrives alongside other reality-TV projects returning to Canada, such as Big Brother Canada on CTV and Crave and the newly filmed Canada Shore.

Why it matters
