Nevada governor's race remains neck-and-neck as early voting approaches
A new Emerson College poll shows Attorney General Aaron Ford at 44% and Governor Joe Lombardo at 42%, a margin within the survey’s margin of error.
According to a poll released by Emerson College in partnership with KLAS-TV, Attorney General Aaron Ford holds 44% support compared with Governor Joe Lombardo’s 42%, a two-point lead that remains within the poll’s ±3.7-point credibility interval, indicating a statistically tied race. The survey sampled 680 likely voters from Sept. 5 to Sept. 8 and noted modest gains for both candidates since the November ballot. Early voting for the November election begins on Oct. 17.
Ford’s campaign manager criticized Lombardo’s alignment with national figures, while Lombardo’s supporters pointed to a separate Tarrance Group poll that placed the governor ahead at 53% to 47%. Favorability ratings were close, with roughly half of respondents viewing Lombardo favorably and a similar share holding a positive view of Ford. The poll also highlighted the economy as the top issue for voters.
