New Asia Forum launches with goal of mobilising $30 billion for regional projects

The inaugural New Asia Forum, backed by Danantara Indonesia and Richard Attias & Associates, aims to channel up to US$30 billion into investment projects across Indonesia and the wider region.

The first New Asia Forum, organized by Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia together with Richard Attias & Associates, aims to secure a US$30 billion pipeline of projects spanning natural resources, energy transition, advanced mobility, digital infrastructure, agribusiness, trade, tourism, and education. President Prabowo Subianto’s support underscores Indonesia’s ambition to play a leading role in the global investment cycle.

Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said the forum is designed to match long-term global capital with high-growth opportunities in Indonesia and the broader Asia-Pacific, which contributed nearly 60 percent of world growth according to IMF 2025 data. Richard Attias noted that Asia is increasingly shaping where capital is deployed. The gathering will bring together investors, business leaders and policymakers to discuss project readiness, regulatory certainty and financing structures, with a built-in tracking system to monitor implementation between editions.

Why it matters

Mobilising $30 billion could close the gap between Asia's economic growth and foreign investment, boosting regional development.
