New Book Maps Jeffrey Epstein's Ties to Norway's Elite
Journalists Gard Oterholm and Tore Gjerstad have published a book detailing Jeffrey Epstein's connections with top Norwegian politicians, diplomats and royalty.
Gard Oterholm and Tore Gjerstad released “Epsteins norske nettverk,” a meticulously sourced account of Jeffrey Epstein’s relationships with Norway’s political and royal circles. Building on investigative reporting that began in 2019, the authors trace connections to Terje Rød-Larsen, Mona Juul, Thorbjørn Jagland, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and former foreign minister Børge Brende, among others. They reveal how Epstein provided money, property assistance and introductions—such as a 2010 meeting arranged by Ehud Barak—while Norwegian figures offered access to diplomatic and philanthropic platforms.
The book documents loans, discounted real-estate transactions and personal correspondence, highlighting that several individuals either refused to comment or offered only brief replies. Legal scrutiny by Økokrim now includes Rød-Larsen, Juul and Jagland, underscoring the broader implications of the disclosed network.
Why it matters
The book exposes how high-level Norwegian officials may have leveraged their positions for personal gain through ties to a convicted sex offender.
