New Marc poll shows Greeks split between single-party rule and coalition options

According to the latest Marc poll commissioned by ANT1, Greek citizens are sharply divided over the preferred form of government, with nearly the same share favoring a standalone New Democracy cabinet as those preferring an ELAS-PASOK coalition. New Democracy continues to lead in voting intention, followed by ELAS and a recovering PASOK. In contrast, the Hope party of Maria Karystianou suffers a notable drop in support.

The poll also details party-by-party voting intentions, showing New Democracy at about thirty-one percent, ELAS around sixteen percent, and PASOK near eleven and a half percent, with other parties ranging between one and seven percent. Respondents largely rated the policy pledges of Mitsotakis, Tsipras and Androulakis negatively, and a sizable share of undecided voters come from New Democracy, SYRIZA and smaller groups. When asked about the most suitable prime-ministerial candidate, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads with thirty-one percent, followed by Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Androulakis.
