New phone data reveals doctor’s AI queries before Mazonakis collapse
Digital analysis of six phones shows the 56-year-old doctor searched AI tools for drug information moments before Giorgos Mazonakis collapsed at a clinic on Carnadou Street.
A forensic review of six mobile phones, after privacy restrictions were removed, uncovered that the 56-year-old doctor was consulting ChatGPT for guidance on handling intoxication, specifically asking how to reverse a binge, whether an antidote exists for propofol, and if propofol can be taken as a pill. The same devices showed erased conversations with a hypnotherapist and with Giorgio Mazonakis in the days preceding the incident.
Authorities also discovered a group chat among clinic staff confirming that Mazonakis had been administered propofol. Subsequent toxicology testing detected propofol, midazolam and flumazenil, prompting investigators to examine the potential risks of combining these substances.
