Streaming platforms add the last season of “Outer Banks,” Sir Anthony Hopkins’ first classical record, and Anne Hathaway’s new movie “Mother Mary” among other music and game launches.
The latest streaming slate features the concluding season of “Outer Banks” on Netflix, following the Pogues as they seek treasure and revenge after a teammate’s death. HBO Max adds “Mother Mary,” an experimental drama about a pop star played by Anne Hathaway, directed by David Lowery and co-starring Michaela Coel. Sir Anthony Hopkins, aged 88, issues his first classical album “Life Is a Dream” via Decca Records, with Gustavo Dudamel conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Music releases this week also include Weezer’s self-titled 20th album and Sam Smith’s fifth album “Hazel Eyes.” Gaming fans can try the long-delayed survival-horror title “The Sinking City 2” from Ukrainian studio Frogwares on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Other streaming picks range from the comedy-action series “Average Joe” on Paramount+ to the family drama “She Dances” on Peacock.
