New Target Point poll shows right-wing bloc ahead of left in upcoming election
A Target Point survey finds the centre-right parties PP and Vox poised to secure a parliamentary majority, while the left remains fragmented.
Target Point surveyed 1,002 respondents across Spain and released its first post-dissolution results for one outlet. The centre-right coalition of the PP and Vox is forecast to capture between 193 and 203 seats, giving it a clear parliamentary edge. The PSOE is projected to hold just over 100 seats, with a range of 102-105, while the left-wing Sumar and Podemos together could secure between 10 and 21 seats depending on a joint or separate candidacy.
Vox’s support translates to an estimated 62-66 seats, allowing it to double its current representation. Smaller parties such as ERC, Junts, PNV, Bildu, BNG and Adelante Andalucía are each expected to gain a handful of seats, but none enough to alter the overall balance. Voter loyalty remains high for the PP and Vox, while the left struggles to mobilise new voters.
