New York Man Charged for Threatening FBI Agents After Anti-Jewish Calls

Dylan Daniell, 33, was arraigned on a federal charge of threatening FBI agents who investigated his anti-Jewish phone threats.

Dylan Daniell, 33, of La Fargeville, New York, is accused of making anti-Jewish threats in recorded calls to an unnamed nonprofit in Lakewood, New Jersey, including statements about gas chambers and killing all Jews. The FBI linked the calls to Daniell through databases and a Cash App account, prompting agents to visit his home on Oct. 7. When the agents identified themselves, Daniell allegedly responded with a vulgar comment and threatened, "only good cop is a dead cop."

Later that day, the same number sent a message warning the agents not to return. Daniell was arraigned on Oct. 9 before magistrate judge Mitchell Katz on a charge of threatening a federal officer with intent to impede, intimidate, or interfere, carrying a maximum ten-year sentence. He will remain in custody pending a detention hearing on Oct. 15. Prosecutors emphasized that threats against law-enforcement officers will not be tolerated.
