NFL committees give green light to Vinod Khosla's Seahawks purchase
The NFL's finance and ownership policy committees unanimously approved the sale of the Seahawks to a group led by Vinod Khosla.
On Thursday, the league's finance committee and ownership policy committee both voted in favor of transferring ownership of the Seattle franchise to a consortium headed by billionaire Vinod Khosla. The full owners' vote is set for Wednesday, August 26. Khosla, who already holds a minority stake in the 49ers, will have his wife Neeru listed as the controlling owner. The team is being sold by the estate of the late Paul G. Allen, with his sister Jody currently overseeing operations.
