NIA raids multiple states after attempted DDoS attacks on Indian government sites

The National Investigation Agency searched five locations across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi following a June 2025 cyber terrorism case that targeted 54 government websites with DDoS attacks, seizing devices and questioning suspects.

The NIA conducted coordinated raids in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi, focusing on a case filed on June 25, 2025 that aimed to overwhelm 54 government portals with distributed denial-of-service attacks. Two individuals have already been arrested, and technical analysis uncovered additional supporters. During the operations, investigators confiscated digital equipment and documents containing hacking evidence, and the detainees were interrogated about their connections to the primary accused.
