Nick Reiner appears restless in court as supporters gather for murder hearing
Accused murderer Nick Reiner, son of Rob and Michele Reiner, sat fidgety in Los Angeles Superior Court while several supporters watched.
In a Los Angeles Superior Court hearing, Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of the late actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Reiner, appeared visibly anxious, repeatedly rocking his chair. He wore handcuffs on both wrists that were not linked together or attached to the seat. During the proceeding he looked directly at the judge and his legal team, and his new haircut featured trimmed hair with prominent sideburns.
The gallery held at least two fans, none of whom seemed to be close relatives. Prosecutors have not disclosed the grand-jury materials that led to his July indictment, and his defense argues for more time to review them. The hearing continues as the case develops.
Why it matters
The case draws public attention because of the defendant's high-profile family and the ongoing legal process.
