No Man's Sky and Several Indie Titles Arrive on iPhone and iPad

Hello Games announced that No Man's Sky will launch on iOS during the App Store's Indie Games Week, with a free trial available at release.

As part of the App Store's Indie Games Week, Hello Games confirmed that No Man's Sky will be released for iPhone and iPad, incorporating a decade of updates while initially omitting multiplayer and settlement modes, similar to the earlier Switch version. The iOS version offers redesigned touch controls, TV casting, controller compatibility, and mouse-keyboard input on iPad, and fits under 5 GB, making it accessible to iPhone 11 and 3rd-generation iPad Air devices and newer.

Pre-orders start today, with a launch date of October 28 and a free trial period. Alongside No Man's Sky, one outlet highlights indie titles such as Sifu with a new camera system, Vampire Crawlers, Dome Keeper, and the adventure Little Kitty, Big City, all available now on iOS. Apple’s App Store head Carson Oliver praised the creativity of indie developers and the platform’s role in showcasing their work.

Why it matters

The launch brings a major PC/console game to mobile, expanding gaming options for iOS users.
