Nobel Foundation raises prize amount by one million Swedish kronor
The Nobel Foundation announced a one-million-krona increase to the Nobel Prize cash award as part of the centennial celebrations.
In a press release, the Nobel Foundation said the prize money will be raised by one million Swedish kronor this year, marking the 100-year anniversary of the awards. Hanna Stjärne, the foundation's chief executive, explained that the adjustment is intended to preserve the prize’s long-term significance and maintain its financial value. The cash component has remained unchanged since 2012.
