North Carolina man pleads guilty to stabbing ex-girlfriend's former partner at Long Island yacht club
Victor Panebianco admitted to killing Christopher Millwater outside a Long Island yacht club while his girlfriend, Kacy Corso, encouraged him, and both have pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
A Suffolk County District Attorney announced that Victor Panebianco, 32, of King, North Carolina, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the fatal stabbing of Christopher Millwater, 52, at a parking lot near the Stony Brook Yacht Club on Nov. 10, 2025. Panebianco and his girlfriend, 33-year-old Kacy Corso, drove from their North Carolina apartment to Long Island to set up the attack, with Corso allegedly crashing her car into Millwater's vehicle to prevent his escape.
After Millwater confronted Panebianco, the assailant thrust a knife into his heart and lungs, then kicked him in the head before fleeing. The duo returned to North Carolina, where the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office arrested them days later. Corso also pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and awaits sentencing on Sept. 2, while Panebianco is scheduled for a Sept. 22 hearing that could result in a 25-to-life term. District Attorney Raymond Tierney said the pleas spare Millwater’s family from a trial and hold the perpetrators accountable.
