Norway orders flags at half-mast nationwide after Princess Astrid's death

The Norwegian government has directed all state institutions to fly flags at half-mast today in response to Princess Astrid’s passing.

Following the death of Princess Astrid, Norway’s government ordered that every national public agency lower its flag to half-mast for the remainder of the day. The foreign ministry said a further flag directive will be issued for the funeral. Municipal and county bodies have also been urged to adopt the same practice, making the mourning signal a countrywide observance.
