Noskova and Muchova clinch Billie Jean King Cup for Czechia after Wimbledon showdown

In Shenzhen, Linda Noskova and Karolina Muchova combined forces to capture the Billie Jean King Cup for Czechia, delivering a 2-0 victory over Ukraine. Noskova overcame Elina Svitolina 6-3, 7-6 (5), while Muchova dispatched Anhelina Kalinina 6-2, 6-3. The Czech side, now holding its 12th title, had not won the competition since 2018.

Captain Barbora Strycova became the fourth woman to win the event as both player and captain, joining legends Margaret Court, Chris Evert and Billie Jean King. Czechia also eliminated Britain and Spain en route to the final, allowing doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova to sit out the tournament. Ukraine reached its first final after beating Italy, despite missing Marta Kostyuk due to injury.
