Nottingham Forest hires former Olympiacos exec Theodore Giannikos as new CEO

Nottingham Forest has named Theodore Giannikos as its chief executive, taking over from Lina Souloukou.

The club announced that former Olympiacos vice-president Theodore Giannikos will assume the chief executive role. Giannikos succeeds Lina Souloukou, who left the post at the end of last season. He previously served as FIFA’s director of strategic partnerships and media projects, and held senior legal and member-association positions. He also sat on the European Club Association board from 2012 to 2016. The appointment is intended to steer the club’s long-term strategy on and off the pitch.

Why it matters

A new chief executive could reshape Nottingham Forest's competitive and commercial trajectory.
