NRCC to add nearly ten new grassroots hubs in swing districts ahead of midterms

The National Republican Congressional Committee has established over 40 grassroots volunteer centers across competitive congressional districts and is set to open nearly ten more in the next few weeks. These "battle stations" provide a hub for staff, volunteers, and activists working on both NRCC Patriots-protected incumbents and the MAGA Majority flip agenda. The approach mirrors the successful playbook that kept Republicans in the House despite a turbulent 2024 session that saw Kevin McCarthy removed as speaker.

Speaker Mike Johnson concluded a cross-country tour in Texas, where the NRCC currently runs four offices—three located in seats held by Democrats such as Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez. The party is also targeting the newly drawn 35th District outside San Antonio, a seat that would have favored President Donald Trump by double-digit margins. By expanding its field network, the NRCC hopes to mobilize voters directly and increase turnout to grow the GOP House majority in November.
