NSE IPO gains strong grey-market premium after SEBI clears offering
The National Stock Exchange secured SEBI approval for its IPO, lifting the grey-market premium to roughly ₹285 per share.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India approved the National Stock Exchange’s initial public offering, estimated at roughly ₹30,000 crore. After the clearance, the grey-market premium for NSE shares climbed to a range of ₹273-₹285, up from about ₹250 previously. Market observers, including Shivani Nyati of Swastika Investmart, interpret the premium as a sign of strong demand.
Analysts suggest the IPO price band could sit between ₹1,800 and ₹2,200 per share, implying a potential listing price near ₹2,085 if the premium holds. The offering is an all-offer-for-sale of 14.89 crore shares, with current owners like State Bank of India and MS Strategic (Mauritius) Limited divesting roughly 6 % of the company. A price-band announcement is expected in mid-September, followed by subscription and a possible listing during the week of 21-28 September 2026.
