NSW EPA orders skip-bin firm to clear 320 tonnes of waste near Clarence River

The NSW Environment Protection Authority has mandated Gardners Yamba Skip Bin Hire to remove 320 tonnes of contaminated rubbish dumped near a Clarence River tributary by 2 November.

The NSW Environment Protection Authority alleges that Gardners Yamba Skip Bin Hire illegally deposited about 320 tonnes of waste, including asbestos, close to a tributary of the Clarence River. Drone footage shows the pile growing since 2022. The agency has ordered the company to clean the site near Grafton and complete the removal by 2 November.
