Nuenergy to develop 21 MWp of rooftop solar across 49 government sites
Nuenergy Holdings Bhd will install 21 MWp of solar PV on 49 rooftops belonging to a government agency, with completion slated for Q2 2027.
Nuenergy Holdings Bhd announced an investment to build solar photovoltaic facilities with a combined capacity of 21 megawatt-peak on 49 rooftops at a government agency’s premises. The financing will be handled by its wholly-owned subsidiary IL Energy Sdn Bhd, while the agency’s own subsidiary will serve as the main engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contractor. Armani Sinar Sdn Bhd received a letter of award on 11 September 2026 to act as strategic partner, delivering engineering design support, technical standards, site verification and supplying the PV modules and inverters.
Once operational, the solar assets will become part of Nuenergy’s owned renewable portfolio, providing steady energy revenue under off-take contracts and diversifying earnings beyond its engineering and construction business. The group expects the project to positively affect earnings and net-asset per-share metrics. Completion is targeted for the second quarter of 2027.
Why it matters
The project expands renewable energy capacity and diversifies Nuenergy's revenue streams.
