Nvidia leans on Jensen Huang's family as son-in-law and daughter assume senior AI roles
Nvidia is shifting toward a family-run model, with Jensen Huang's son-in-law Nico Caprez and daughter Madison Huang now holding pivotal positions in AI infrastructure and robotics.
Nvidia's governance is increasingly shaped by Jensen Huang's relatives. Madison Huang, who joined the chipmaker after graduating from London Business School, married former Swiss ski racer Nico Caprez in Hawaii; within three years Caprez advanced to vice president of global AI infrastructure growth, handling massive contracts with new cloud operators and arranging financing schemes such as a $15 billion loan for Australian firm Firmus.
Madison was elevated to senior director of product marketing for physical AI, overseeing robotics, world-model tools and open-source projects. Their brother Spencer Huang works as director of product management for robotics. Insiders note that despite their formal ranks being two levels below the CEO, the family ties give Caprez considerable influence, prompting some to describe him as Jensen's consigliere.
Why it matters
Family influence at Nvidia could affect strategic decisions for the AI chip market and its partners.
