Nvidia poised to join elite club of $100 billion quarterly earners
Nvidia reported a record $96.2 billion in revenue for the latest quarter, driven largely by its data-center segment, and forecasts $108 billion in the coming months.
In its most recent earnings release, Nvidia disclosed a historic $96.2 billion in revenue, surpassing the $96 billion mark and adding over $10 billion compared with the previous quarter. The surge was powered by a data-center business that generated $89 billion, more than twice the amount recorded a year earlier, while net earnings climbed to $59.7 billion. The company’s edge-computing and gaming division added $7.2 billion, reflecting a 27 percent year-over-year rise, but noted that weaker consumer PC demand and elevated memory and system prices limited expansion.
Ongoing component shortages continue to push up costs for consumer GPUs, and Nvidia signaled potential price increases for its AI chips before the upcoming earnings report. The firm projects revenue of $108 billion within the next few months, positioning it alongside Amazon, Apple and Alphabet as a quarterly $100 billion revenue generator.
