Nvidia's RTX Spark powers new AI-focused laptops and mini PCs unveiled at IFA
At IFA 2026, Nvidia showcased laptops and compact desktops built around its RTX Spark superchip, targeting on-device AI workloads.
Nvidia revealed that its RTX Spark superchip, unveiled three months earlier, is now powering a new generation of AI-centric computers shown at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The chip integrates a Grace Arm-based CPU with up to 20 cores and a Blackwell RTX GPU with up to 6,144 cores, delivering graphics capability comparable to current RTX 5070 Ti/5080 laptops. Lenovo's Yoga 9n 2-in-1 showcases this technology in a 16-inch OLED device only 0.69 inches thick, while a smaller Yoga Pro 9n offers a 15-inch screen and a stylus-enabled Force Pad.
Memory options reach 64 GB on the Yoga 9n and 128 GB on the Pro model. Additional RTX Spark laptops from Dell, Asus and Microsoft target creators and AI enthusiasts, and a 14-inch HP OmniBook joins the lineup. Compact desktops from Acer and Asus, plus Lenovo's AMD-powered ThinkCentre X Ultra, bring the same chip to mini-PC sizes, offering up to 128 GB of RAM and petaflop AI performance. These devices aim to enable local AI processing, reducing reliance on cloud services.
