NY grandmother found dead in Las Vegas airport ditch after disappearing
Alisa Goods, a 63-year-old New York grandmother, was discovered dead in a drainage ditch near Terminal 1 of Harry Reid International Airport after vanishing on Aug. 8.
On Aug. 8, Alisa Goods, a 63-year-old mother of five from New York’s Upper East Side, departed a friend’s Las Vegas residence to run an errand at a nearby CVS. Video from the airport area shows her stumbling down an embankment, standing again, and subsequently collapsing. Her remains were concealed in a drainage ditch near Wayne Newton Boulevard and the Terminal 1 parking garage of Harry Reid International Airport, out of sight from the road.
For 12 days the body went unnoticed until a homeless individual alerted airport parking attendants. Metro Police have recovered the body but have not disclosed the cause of death; they noted Goods had recently undergone multiple leg surgeries that made walking difficult. The case remains under investigation.
