NYPD Harbor Unit rescues naked swimmer from East River near Queens
Police officers from the NYPD Harbor Unit pulled an unclothed man from the East River close to Queens and took him to a hospital.
A man jumped into the East River near 26-03 9th Street around 2118 hours on Tuesday. Officers from the NYPD Harbor Unit responded, retrieved the naked individual, and moved him to the Astoria Ferry Terminal. He was then transported by EMS to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. No charges have been filed, and the incident is still under investigation.
