O2 secures record £200 million, 10-year naming-rights renewal for London arena

O2 has agreed to a £200 million, ten-year deal to keep the naming rights to the O2 arena in London, the largest renewal of its kind in the UK.

O2 has struck a historic £200 million, ten-year naming-rights agreement with Anschutz Entertainment Group to retain the O2 arena name in London until at least 2038, marking the biggest renewal in UK history. The arrangement lifts the annual payment to about £20 million, nearly a 50% increase over the expiring deal and more than triple the original ten-year contract. The venue enjoyed its strongest financial year in 2025, with pre-tax profit up 18% to £76.5 million and revenue climbing 14% to £148.6 million, driven by high-profile concerts.

Under the new terms, O2 customers will receive a 50% rise in priority tickets, allowing earlier purchase of tickets for events at the arena and other venues. Executives Paul Samuels and Gareth Griffiths highlighted the partnership’s role in brand loyalty and customer retention, especially after O2 faced a churn of over 100,000 customers following price hikes. The deal underscores O2’s commitment to investing in live entertainment as a core brand asset.

Why it matters
