Odisha clears ₹2.47 trillion worth of projects across 15 districts in record clearance
The Odisha government approved 27 mega-projects totaling ₹2.47 trillion in a single High-Level Clearance Authority meeting, spanning data centres, power, steel and other sectors.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led the High-Level Clearance Authority as it approved a historic investment pipeline of 27 projects worth ₹2,47,115.70 crore across 15 districts of Odisha. The clearance covers a wide array of sectors, with AI-focused data centres and IT-enabled services representing the largest share of capital, followed by power generation, steel, green energy, advanced manufacturing and healthcare. Notable approvals include a ₹1,04,550 crore integrated data centre park by High Density Data Centre Ltd in Khordha, a ₹34,763.51 crore 3,200 MW thermal plant by NLC India Ltd in Debagada, and a ₹9,000 crore steel plant expansion by Rungta Mines.
Additional projects span lab-grown diamond production, silicon-carbide wafer manufacturing, and a 1,000-bed multi-speciality hospital by Adani Foundation. Collectively, the initiatives are expected to generate over 50,000 jobs and diversify Odisha’s industrial base.
