Ohio man arrested for threatening to kill Trump and Rep. Randy Fine

Alex Justin Miller, a 26-year-old from Ohio, was taken into custody by the FBI after allegedly sending a violent email targeting President Donald Trump and Rep. Randy Fine of Florida. The message called Fine and his family “Nazi f—-s,” threatened to set their house ablaze, and vowed to keep pursuing them until their heads were displayed on the White House roof. The communication, received on the morning of Florida’s primary election, was deemed a “true threat” by the Department of Justice, resulting in a charge of interstate transmission of a threat to injure.

The investigation involved the FBI, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the Secret Service and Capitol Police, who apprehended Miller within 36 hours of the report. If convicted, Miller could receive a sentence of up to five years. Rep. Fine emphasized the need for greater security for members of Congress following the incident.
