Oji Liquid Pak launches $110 million aseptic packaging plant in Vietnam
Oji Liquid Pak has opened a new aseptic packaging facility in Vietnam capable of producing up to 8 billion packs annually and creating over 200 jobs.
Oji Liquid Pak inaugurated a $110 million aseptic packaging plant in Vietnam, designed to output up to 8 billion packs each year and add more than 200 positions to the local workforce. The facility aligns with Vietnam’s evolving Extended Producer Responsibility policies and the broader move toward a circular economy in the region. Company officials said the plant will enable customers to use existing roll-fed filling equipment while offering flexible material options and full system solutions.
The project draws on OJI Group’s 150-year heritage in paper and packaging and incorporates over four decades of aseptic technology from IPI, an Italian firm now part of OJI Holdings. Executives stressed that the new site strengthens Oji Liquid Pak’s ability to serve markets across Vietnam and the wider Asia-Pacific area.
Why it matters
The plant boosts Vietnam’s manufacturing capacity, creates jobs, and supports regional moves toward sustainable packaging.
