Old Firm clash at Ibrox sees twelve debutants and key goalkeeper choices

Rangers and Celtic will meet at Ibrox for the season's first Old Firm derby, with both managers facing crucial selection decisions and twelve players set to make their debut.

Rangers host Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday, a fixture that also decides a place in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final. New Rangers manager Derek McInnes could field a back four of Dujon Sterling, Emmanuel Fernandez, Olwethu Makhanya and James Penrice, with Ivor Pandur between the posts, and three of those players will be debutants. In attack, McInnes may choose between Kevin Kelsy, Ryan Naderi or Bojan Miovski, while Celtic boss Martin O’Neill is expected to start on-loan Wolves keeper Sam Johnstone over Viljami Sinisalo.

Celtic’s defence could see Kieran Tierney return at left-back, and the midfield will likely feature captain Callum McGregor with Mika Baur and Benjamin Nygren. Both teams are projected to line up with twelve players experiencing their first Old Firm game, highlighting the high stakes and fresh faces on display.
