Olivia Theis recorded her 500th career kill as Pieper beat Churchill 25-18, 25-21, 25-21 in a non-district match.
In a non-district showdown at Churchill High School gym, senior middle blocker Olivia Theis tallied 11 kills and four blocks, guiding the Pieper Warriors to a 25-18, 25-21, 25-21 triumph over the Churchill Chargers. The performance marked Theis’s 500th career kill, a rare achievement for a middle blocker, and she expressed pride in the milestone. Pieper improved to 14-12, earning its third consecutive win and a forthcoming clash with Clark, while Churchill fell to 23-5 and will seek redemption on the road at Boerne.
Coach Courtney Patton highlighted the hard-fought nature of the match and the importance of strong starts as district play approaches. Opposing coach Julianne Ehrlich noted defensive adjustments needed ahead of the district schedule. Theis has already committed to the University of Texas at Dallas for the next season.
