Olsen twins make a rare public appearance strolling through New York City

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were spotted on a quiet Tuesday stroll through New York City, marking one of the few joint public appearances they have made in years. Mary-Kate wore loose black shorts, a white T-shirt, a black scarf, sunglasses and vintage Yohji Yamamoto × Adidas sneakers, while Ashley chose an all-black sweater, jeans, sandals and sunglasses. The twins were photographed with several relatives, including Ashley’s husband Louis Eisner, sister Elizabeth and her husband Robbie Arnett, as well as half-siblings Courtney and Jake.

Their last public sighting was at their brother Trent’s wedding in June. Since retiring from acting, the sisters have kept a low profile, concentrating on their luxury fashion brand The Row. Former “Full House” co-star Jodie Sweetin noted they remain friendly but have largely stepped away from the entertainment spotlight.
