Oman's Producer Price Index jumps 32.7% in Q2 2026
Oman's producer price index rose 32.7% in the second quarter of 2026 versus the same period in 2025, according to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
Data released by the National Centre for Statistics and one outlet's show that Oman's producer price index climbed 32.7% in the second quarter of 2026 relative to the same quarter a year earlier. The overall increase was anchored by a 31% rise in mining and quarrying prices, reflecting a 31.9% jump in crude oil and natural gas rates. Manufacturing sector prices surged 40.3%, propelled by a 55.3% rise in other transportable goods, with refined petroleum products soaring 88.2% and chemical products rising 21.4%.
Prices for metal products, machinery and equipment grew 31.7%, led by iron, steel or aluminium items at 48.9% and electrical equipment at 39.8%. Food, beverages and textiles rose 2.8%, while water and electricity prices increased 4.4% and 13% respectively.
