OMV Petrom and ROMGAZ aim to feed Neptun Deep gas into national grid by early 2027
OMV Petrom and SNGN ROMGAZ SA expect the Neptun Deep field to start delivering gas to Romania's pipeline system in the first half of 2027.
The two co-owners of the Neptun Deep offshore block say the initial gas output will enter the national transport network before mid-2027. After the successful installation of the shallow-water Neptun Alpha production platform, the project remains on schedule, allowing a clearer timeline for upcoming milestones. Once the gas reaches the entry point, production will be ramped up gradually and operational testing will commence.
