One in Four French Youth Reports Regular Food Insecurity, Survey Finds
A recent poll for Action contre la faim reveals that about 25% of French people aged 18-24 say they often lack enough to eat.
Action contre la faim partnered with OpinionWay to gauge food insecurity across France. The poll asked a cross-section of the population about their ability to obtain enough food. Findings indicate that the 18-24 age group faces the highest risk, with roughly one quarter reporting regular hunger. Interviewees described empty pantries, reliance on minimal staples such as rice, and resorting to peanuts to stave off hunger. Some said they deliberately go to bed early or stay up later to forget the emptiness in their stomachs. The results highlight growing nutritional precarity among French youth.
