The Henty Machinery Field Days, a major agricultural exhibition and fundraiser in southern New South Wales, has named Senator Pauline Hanson as its opening guest. While the organisers pointed to a history of political figures attending, local farmer Graham Strong described Hanson as "vociferous" and "divisive," questioning her suitability given her climate-science views. Greens candidate Richard Hendrie echoed concerns, warning that the invitation could alienate multicultural communities in the Farrer electorate.

The event’s CEO Belinda Anderson said the decision reflects the recent shift in political representation after David Farley, a One Nation MP, won the federal seat of Farrer. Hanson will attend alongside Farley, and the organisers claim the invitation has already encouraged some participants to register.
