OpenAI rolls out $125-a-month Premium Business seat for higher AI usage
OpenAI introduced a new Premium Business seat priced at $125 per month, offering five-times the usage limits of its standard Business tier.
OpenAI has launched a Premium Business seat aimed at heavy-use customers, priced at $125 each month or $100 with an annual contract. This tier multiplies the usage allowances of the existing Business tier by five and lifts the five-hour-per-day restriction on advanced features. By comparison, the regular Business seat costs $25 per month ($20 annually).
Premium seats also receive five times the weekly request limits for GPT-5.5 Thinking and Pro models, though “instant” use remains virtually unlimited. As part of the rollout, OpenAI is offering $100 in workspace service credits to the first 10,000 customers who join the waitlist. Enterprises with larger needs can still request custom pricing that includes service-level agreements and additional security controls.
Why it matters
The new tier lets companies run larger AI workloads but adds a notable cost, influencing AI budgeting decisions.
