Opinion poll shows New Democracy ahead while Kasidiaris' party lags behind threshold

The latest Opinion Poll indicates New Democracy maintains a double-digit lead over rivals, and the party linked to Ilias Kasidiaris polls below the parliamentary threshold.

The Opinion Poll released by Action24 reveals New Democracy preserving a sizable advantage over competing parties, while public opinion on the government's response to the energy crisis stays split. Over 50% of those surveyed attribute the ongoing inflation to the government's failure to act, and a majority view the administration as slow and negligent. The poll also shows the Alliance of Greeks, which includes Ilias Kasidiaris, receiving a vote share insufficient to cross the electoral threshold, keeping it out of the legislature.

Projected parliamentary composition gives New Democracy the largest bloc of seats, with the Greek Left Coalition, PASOK, and the Communist Party following. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis remains the most favored candidate for the premiership, while a sizable portion of voters still express dissatisfaction with any party.

Why it matters

The poll highlights voter sentiment on the energy crisis and shows extremist parties remain marginal, shaping Greece's upcoming elections.
