Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar's opposition chief, accused the chief election commissioner of using illegal tactics to help the BJP win, sparking street protests.
Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly, alleged that the chief election commissioner is colluding with the BJP to manipulate elections, citing protection granted under the 2023 election commissioners act. He identified Gyanesh Kumar as the operative carrying out these fraudulent activities on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Yadav said the state's treasury has been drained in the effort to win elections, leaving no resources for disaster relief and pushing Bihar toward a financial crisis within six months.
He highlighted soaring inflation, unemployment, poverty and crime, asserting that criminals now dominate the scene. The RJD leader also condemned Modi's "Aashirwad Ka Diya" lamp-lighting initiative, arguing that the more than Rs 100 crore spent could have been redirected to farmers and flood victims.
