Optus network disruption briefly impacts users in four Australian regions
A temporary outage at Optus caused loss of voice service for customers in Victoria, the Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania, lasting about an hour.
Around 1.30 pm AEST, Optus detected a fault that knocked out voice calling for some users across four states and territories. The company mobilised technical teams and restored service within roughly an hour. Affected customers could still place emergency calls via other networks or Wi-Fi. Optus issued an apology for the inconvenience.
