On Monday morning, Oracle sent out termination emails at 6 a.m., telling recipients that their jobs were ending that day due to a broader organizational change. The message required immediate signing of severance documents, with compensation details to follow through DocuSign. Recipients were warned that access to computers, email, voicemail and files would soon be disabled and that copying confidential information was prohibited.
A source said managers were asked to submit employee lists to trim payroll before the start of the second quarter on September 1. This follows Oracle's earlier reduction of 21,000 full-time positions, about 13% of its workforce, during fiscal 2026, which the company justified as restructuring and strategic realignment.
