Orbán Anita says ministry shifted to private jets and rejects BRFK corruption complaint
Orbán Anita posted on Facebook that the ministry overseen by Szijjártó Péter switched in 2022 to arranging foreign travel on privately owned planes or military charter flights, noting that the number and nature of diplomatic events did not change. She emphasized that these chartered trips have become more frequent. She further reported that she turned down a formal complaint filed by Tényi István of the BRFK, which alleged that Szijjártó's recent appointment at BYD involved corruption.
The investigation was initially handled by the Fővárosi Nyomozó Ügyészség before being transferred to the Budapesti Rendőr-főkapitányság due to jurisdictional issues. The police chief’s office concluded the complaint could not be substantiated and dismissed it.
