Oregon State linebacker Aiden Sullivan arrested on felony assault charges

Aiden Sullivan, a 22-year-old linebacker for Oregon State, was arrested by Corvallis Police on Aug. 10 and charged with a second-degree assault felony plus two fourth-degree assault counts related to an April 5 incident in which he allegedly struck a man in the face and injured a second individual. He pleaded not guilty on Aug. 11, posted a $5,000 deposit toward a $50,000 bail, and was released under conditions that prohibit contact with the alleged victims, consumption of intoxicants, and entry to venues selling them.

Sullivan, who transferred from Butte College after the 2023 season, has participated in 16 games and is projected as a key defensive starter for the Beavers’ season opener on Sept. 5 at Houston. He attended the team’s morning practice on Aug. 14 despite the legal proceedings. Coach JaMarcus Shephard and the new staff have worked to retain him amid offseason changes.
