Police in Oslo arrested 31-year-old Dyar Al-Ashtari on suspicion of illegal data access after a complaint from a newspaper.

Oslo police conducted a raid on a Smestad address on Wednesday evening, resulting in the detention of 31-year-old Dyar Al-Ashtari. He faces a charge of illegal computer intrusion under criminal code §204, stemming from a complaint filed by a newspaper. Police confiscated items from his home as part of the investigation.

Al-Ashtari's attorney maintains that his client did not act unlawfully.
