Outer Banks' Final Season Launches on Netflix This Thursday

Netflix has scheduled the debut of Outer Banks' fifth and final season for Thursday, August 20, with the first episodes becoming available at 3:00 a.m. ET. The concluding arc consists of ten episodes that see the core group, the Pogues, stranded and battling familiar adversaries while forming a tentative alliance with Rafe to secure their destiny. The official synopsis highlights threats from Chandler Groff, Dalia, the Corsairs, and the Kooks as the characters race to reclaim their future.

Series creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate and Shannon Burke noted that this installment will close the original storyline, yet a prequel set twenty years earlier is gaining momentum at Netflix. A companion podcast featuring interviews with the main cast launches the same day on major platforms.
