More than 2,000 police and paramilitary forces will be stationed across Delhi University to secure the final campaign day, voting and result counting for the student union election.
Ahead of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) election, authorities have bolstered security with more than 2,000 police and paramilitary members assigned to the campus. The deployment covers the final day of campaigning on Wednesday, the voting on Friday and the counting of results on Saturday. Officers will station personnel at strategic college locations, conduct foot and motorcycle patrols, and operate PCR vans to deter clashes and unauthorized gatherings.
Sensitive zones with heavy student traffic will receive extra monitoring, and polling centres will have added guards to control crowd flow. University administrators are working with police to manage entry-exit points and logistical arrangements throughout the election process. The heightened presence is intended to ensure a peaceful, orderly election without disrupting regular campus life.
